Sarah Walker is the Vice President of Human Resources at National Jewish Health, the number one respiratory hospital in the country.  Sarah possesses nearly 20 years of progressive experience in human resources and organizational development.  Sarah’s professional experience includes executive level management, strategic program management, training/employee development, resource and budget forecasting, talent management, compensation, benefits, employee health/worker’s compensation and employee relations.  Sarah is on a mission to impact cultural transformation by being focused on creating a culture of personal accountability and improving employee engagement.

Prior to taking her role at NJH, Sarah gained experience as an integral member of the leadership team during a new hospital start up at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, CO.  With early career experience as a case manager working with incarcerated youth, Sarah transitioned to HR and grew from a generalist into HR leadership focused primarily in the non-profit sector.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology/Criminology and a Master’s Degree in Business with a Human Resources emphasis.
When she’s not keeping busy with organizational transformation and change management initiatives, you can find her skiing, hiking or biking with her family.  She also loves to challenge herself mentally and physically for endurance events like an occasional Tough Mudder.
